Zusammenfassung: | In recent times, there have been technologies like IoT and IoB that have emerged to make human life, easier. The IoT is a network of interconnected physical items that collects and exchanges data and information over the Internet, whereas IoB aims at explaining the data obtained from people's web interactions through a behavioral and psychological approach and analyzes how data is interpreted and applied in the development and marketing of new products based on human psychology. IoT is mainly made up of connectivity, devices, and platforms. The prime benefits of IoT have been in its tracing and efficient resource management abilities and enhancement in its technical and data-driven intelligence system, offering more scalability and advanced information compilation. IoB consists of technology, data analytics, and behavioral psychology, hence providing advantages on a par with IoT. These technologies do make our lives convenient, but along with that, come security and privacy concerns as well as the need for ethical monitoring of these devices. The IoB approach, interconnecting our information with our navigation, which could possibly lead to tampering with our data, calls for a change of our social standards, which predate the Internet and Big Data ages. This chapter highlights different applications, issues related to privacy and security, and future challenges with respect to IoT and IoB that can possibly be resolved to fully harness their capabilities.

The Internet of Things has led to many new innovations that make it more efficient, convenient, and reliable. Smart sensors and drone devices are currently monitoring traffic at several signal nodes in major cities. The Internet of Things has a wide range of potential uses, as it pervades almost every element of people's, institutions', and societies' daily lives. IoT applications play an important role in diverse sectors, including smart vehicles, smart homes, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, smart cities, home security, and disaster management and relief. |
