Zusammenfassung:Energy is an essential component of the human life. It has been deeply linked to the growth of the mankind. First and foremost, it is the natural gift to the human race in different forms. Right from the origination of mankind, we have been exploiting variety of energy sources in almost every possible form. With the rapid industrialization of developing nations and the increasing population, the need for energy is expected to rise crucially in the near future. Reserves of conventional energy sources are limited. It had led to the major environmental concerns, serious political conflict, inevitable economic dependence and significant social consequences, thereby leading to the search of alternate energy sources. Although fossil fuel is the primary source of energy, the use of other conventional and renewable energy sources is required to fulfil the increasing global energy needs. Thus to overcome these issues, emerging energy technologies is the answer to sustainable energy planning. This chapter will give you an insight on several emerging technologies in conventional and unconventional energy sources along with their significance.
