Zusammenfassung: | Borderlands Archives Cartography (BAC) is a personal commitment of the participants to the Mexico-U.S. borderland communities. It conceptualizes, within the digital humanities, personal knowledge of the fronteriza/transfronteriza to resist hegemonic impositions. This chapter describes how the project emerged from a need to visualize and deepen the understanding of the region, with its communities and histories, through postcolonial practice of the digital humanities. The result is a study of the Mexico-U.S. borderlands region that expands the notion of borders while creating new methodologies of data analysis and alternative forms of archival material enabling interdisciplinary research.
