Zusammenfassung: | Recent advancements in cloud computing domain have changed the way of data storage infrastructure and corresponding sharing of resources. Therefore, cloud computing is observed to be greatly secure, private, offering data integrity, guarding property rights and rectifying other issues that are concerned with data storage in cloud. Despite all these advantages, cloud computing is mainly exposed to severe security issues that made many researchers to put forward new algorithms for cloud environments. In this chapter, a hybrid algorithm called enhanced hybrid privacy and secure (EHPS) algorithm has been proposed, implemented, well evaluated and compared with its peers. By understanding the positive features of hybrid algorithms, the proposed algorithm integrates the features of Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), Data Encryption Standard (DES), cipher block chaining (CBC) and Triple DES algorithm. Simulation analysis clearly reveals that the proposed hybrid algorithm depicts reduced encryption and decryption times when matched to AES algorithm. Moreover, the reduction in encryption and decryption times of the proposed algorithm in comparison with hybrid cryptosystem makes the proposed algorithm a positive choice when cloud environment has to be implemented with reduced encryption/decryption times and enhanced safety. |
