Zusammenfassung: | The goal is to develop a visual management system through which anyone can enter the area and understand everything about the plant by just walking around. Visual Management is made up of two words: Visual: creating an environment where the people can see the status of all things in their company without having to ask any questions and management: Taking action, assigning teams, stimulating thinking to address abnormal conditions, and congratulating teams when they are achieving expectations. Visual management should also be used for planning and scheduling, that is, heijunka and material flow, among others. Visual management challenges the leaders and the team to perform to standards. Electronic dashboards can be very attractive and are useful in many situations. Companies read about visual management, often decide it’s a good idea, and off they go. The bottom line on it all is the Gemba walk should be focused on teaching, coaching, and driving ongoing improvement toward a targets. . |
