Zusammenfassung: | In this chapter, the procedure for modeling and analysis of the strengthened reinforced concrete (RC) beam using carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) rods with concrete jacketing has been illustrated through step-by-step instructions. The CFRP bolts are attached to the beam using anchor bolts. The main aim of this example is to evaluate the effect of CFRP rods on improving the load capacity of the strengthened RC beam. For this purpose, a parametric study has been conducted about the effective parameters on beam capacity, such as the number and section area of CFRP rods and spacing of anchor bolts which are used to attach the CFRP rods to the beam. After conducting the analysis, the results are investigated in terms of deformation, stress, and strain counter for the strengthened beam. Researcher: Mahmood Alkhateeb (alkhateeb.m.y@gmail.com) |
