Zusammenfassung:This chapter 15 is concerned with wideband radar applications. First the operational bands are defined using the different standards. This chapter discusses the definitions of various bandwidths; highlights the differences between radar bands and bandwidths; defines narrow band, medium band and wideband radar waveforms; and other wideband radar applications and analyses. The radar operational bands are well defined, even though there are multiple standards, such as those by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). However, the definition of the bandwidths of narrow band, medium band and wideband radars are poorly defined. This chapter discusses the definitions of various bandwidths; highlights the differences between radar bands and bandwidths; defines narrow band, medium band and wideband radar waveforms; and other wideband radar applications and analyses.
