Zusammenfassung: | Knowledge-based organizations are becoming increasingly prevalent in the modern-day economy. Knowledge workers come with unique skills, aspirations, and capabilities working in a distinctive organizational culture with a clear Human Centered Management (HCM) focus. This chapter discusses a research study on knowledge workers employed in R&D laboratories across India. The results of the study gave origin to the creation of a new model of the organizational culture called L-E-A-P - integrating Learning (L), Enjoyment (E), Autonomy (A), and Performance (P) as core elements. We argue that when autonomy, enjoyment and learning are present in balanced proportion, employees achieve a leap in performance and wellbeing, a core tenet of HCM, and will be able to maximize their productivity potential. |
