Zusammenfassung: | This empirical study evaluated the readiness and knowldge of healthcare employees for establishing telemedicine services in a Medical Network to answer the question, “How can primary awerness and knowledge of healthcare workers impact on success of telemedicine establishment in a healthcare network”. The data from the study indicated the healthcare stakeholders has positive perspective in utilizing telemedicine as an efficient digital tool for teleconsultation, a useful tool for increasing online training services, and appropriate digital technology for the treatment of patients via distance. Most of the participants agreed with the advantages of telemedicine in improvement of quality, accessability, and cost-effectiveness. The participants asserted that telemedicine services could minimize the travel time of patients from rural areas to main cities and decrease road accidents. Likewise, the study illuminated that telemedicine can improve distributive justice in scarce healthcare resources, and can play a critical role in the advancement of preventive medicine, treatment, and follow-up of diseases. |
