Zusammenfassung:With increasing consumer demand, an energy storage system plays a vital role, for storing energy directly and converting it into electrical energy, whenever the consumer demands. There are numerous interfaces of such devices, which store energy and deliver it to the consumer. Energy storage is becoming a critical component of smart-grid applications. Additionally, the smart grid employs smart-meter devices to store energy. Such meters provide additional benefits by storing information required for the calculations necessary to make the system more energy efficient. The smart grid evolves with a system showing minimum tolerance toward unwanted voltage and current in the form of noise and transients, which normally occur due to mismatch between power transmission and consumer demand. In this way, energy systems become more reliable and efficient at delivering high-quality electric energy at output. This chapter deals with an assessment of energy systems and associated major services, which enhance the efficient electrical energy generation and its delivery to the consumer on demand.
