Zusammenfassung:Reliable power supply of the autonomous loads is ensured by simultaneous application of renewable energy system (RES) of various types together with the sources of electricity that can produce it regardless of environmental conditions. In this way, hybrid systems, or microgrids (MGs), are formed. In this chapter, two types of such MGs are simulated: with diesel generators (DGs) and fuel cells (FCs). Since the DG load should not be less than 20-30%, three possible options for DG operation are proposed: with the ballast load, with the generator disconnected from the diesel using a friction clutch, and with the DG disconnected from the MG and then switched on under power shortage. MGs consisting of FCs with an electrolyzer, wind generator, photocells, and a battery in various combinations and under different environmental conditions are simulated in this chapter. The integration of individual units in both the DC link and AC consumer buses is under consideration.
