Zusammenfassung:To consider how technology can impact both positively and negatively on behaviour management and teacher workload. To explore the impact of computerised systems in addressing the complexities of behaviour management. To consider how pupil use of technology can have both positive and negative effects on behaviour. This chapter considers how technology can impact both positively and negatively on behaviour management and teacher workload. It explores the impact of computerised systems in addressing the complexities of behaviour management. With the focus on reducing workload, many education technology tools are designed to support teachers with their general administration, assessment and often behaviour management. The statutory advice on behaviour and discipline in schools outlines a clear list that headteachers need to adhere to around their requirements for a behaviour policy in school. There has been much discussion about children and their 'screen time', particularly the use of smartphones, and the impact this has had on their lives, including behaviour, mental health, safety and time dedicated to studies. Where schools work in partnership with families they have the greatest success in developing pupils' online behaviour on conduct relating to technology.
