REGULARITY WITHIN PATCHES AS A CHARACTERISTIC OF HETEROGENEITY: TWO CO-DOMINANT LAND COVER ELEMENTS AND REPEATED PAIRS

This suite contains patches that have two predominant land cover elements. The percentage of each predominant element is 27–50 percent, and therefore these patches can be thought of as the middle ground of the periodic table. They are the transition from those patches that are dominated by one land cover element toward those patches that have a mix with all elements equally present.
