HETEROGENEITY AS OUTCOME OF URBAN TRANSFORMATION: ONE PREDOMINANT LAND COVER ELEMENT WITH GREATER POTENTIAL FOR MIXTURE

This chapter focuses on an area of the periodic table that has a greater potential for mixture of land covers than the patches with one predominant land cover discussed in the previous chapter. The greater potential heterogeneity of this region of the periodic table includes a much greater number of actual patches than those appearing in the previous chapter.
