Management of weeds

This chapter discusses weed management in large-seeded legumes such as peas, faba beans and beans, using herbicides, cultural, and biological control methods. The armoury of chemical aids to control weeds in peas and beans is very small and the number of active ingredients for effective selective weed control is not likely to increase. This is now leading to an increased reliance on cultural methods of weed reduction and increasing innovations in management techniques.
