Dynamic Modeling of Induction Motors

Various IM voltage equations are derived in the synchronous reference frame, as well as in the stationary frame. The coordinate transformations are heavily involved in the process of deriving IM dynamic models. The derivation process is somewhat complicated since the rotor speed is different from the synchronous speed. The dynamic model in a synchronous reference frame provides a basis for field oriented control.
