Further Applications

In the previous chapters, we introduced a variety of examples of physical situations that can be modeled using the finite element method. The main objective has been to show simple situations in which the appropriate physics can be readily understood. In all the examples, we had simple rectangular geometries, and only steady state solutions were sought. In this chapter, we will look at some more complicated problems and geometries.
