Genesis, Goals, and Definitions

VA/VE is an old idea whose time has come to help us better manage today’s dysfunctional institutions in business and government. The fact that VA/VE was born in 1947 does not make it out of date. VA/VE is not a fad or a flavor-of-the-month initiative. On the contrary, VA/VE is timeless and still relevant as it is based on a sound foundation of universal scientific principles. It becomes even stronger by amalgamating the new improvement methods like Six Sigma, Lean Thinking, BPR, Kaizen, and TQM with the scientific method of PISERIA.
