Zusammenfassung:The commercial success of a reservoir development project is often determined by the performance of a reservoir. This chapter outlines workflows used to understand reservoir performance and prepare forecasts using reservoir flow models and then present several examples of reservoir performance. Decline curve analysis and material balance are two methods that are commonly used to understand and predict reservoir performance. Reservoir management is most effective when as much relevant data as possible is collected and integrated into a reservoir management study. Different workflows exist for designing, implementing, and executing reservoir projects. Modern reservoir flow modeling relies on two types of workflows: green field workflow and brown field workflow. The drilling process followed several steps: pad site development, rig setup, drilling, completion and hydraulic fracturing, gas gathering, production, and abandonment. The chapter uses reservoir management principles to understand the relationship between a geothermal reservoir and a geothermal power plant on the Big Island of Hawaii.
