Basic General Constructions of Groups and Rings

In mathematics, specifically in the area of abstract algebra, it is often interesting to construct new objects using the objects already known. In group theory, ring theory, Lie algebra theory there exist a variety of different constructions such as crossed and skew products which are very important, for instance as sources of various examples and counterexamples.
