Zusammenfassung:The article presents an analysis of the possibility of using hydro-abrasive machining to shape Permaglide P10 plain bearing elements. The standard material for Permaglide plain bearings with the P10 designation used in the tests is characterized by a very low tendency to stick-slip vibrations, high wear resistance, good chemical resistance, low coefficient of friction, no tendency to weld with metal, resistance to swelling and a very important feature, from the point of view of the treatment used in the tests, the material does not absorb water. To the identify of optimal combination of control parameters that ensure a high quality cut the Taguchi approach was utilized. The signal-to-noise ratio η (S/N) was used to determine the current scatter of values. Signal (S) is gained from factors are set or under the control of the user, but the noise (N) shows the factors affecting the signal beyond user control. In the case of cutting the KS Permaglide P10 material, the validity of using the AWJ technology was confirmed, and the optimal machining parameters were determined.
