Evisceration, Enucleation and Exenteration

Evisceration or enucleation may be necessary to treat advanced disease in a blind eye, especially if it is also painful. Exenteration may be required to control extensive disease invading the orbit. Modern surgical and prosthetic techniques can restore excellent cosmesis in most situations.
