‘Lacrimal’ provides the reader with a practical approach to the assessment and management of nasolacrimal disease. After outlining the relevant anatomy and physiology of these structures, the chapter addresses the key ophthalmic presentations arising from nasolacrimal disease, notably ‘the watery eye’ and dacryocystitis. Using a patientcentred approach the key clinical features, investigations and treatment are described for these conditions with a special extended discussion on the role of dacryocystorhinostomy.
