Zusammenfassung:In the contemporary Islamic discourse on religious pluralism, a number of provocative and pointed questions about the existence, value, and functionality of religious diversity are raised. What does the Qur’an say about Judaism, Christianity, and other religions? Is Islam the only “valid” religion in the present time? Are all religions particular expressions of an ineffable divine unity? Is Islam the only acceptable and salvifically effective path? Or are there multiple paths? While seemingly varied, these questions all revolve around one central concern: the identification and evaluation of difference.
