This chapter provides a range of scenarios of community planning covering some common development situations. Each illustrates one way in which methods can be combined in an overall strategy. Community centre applies to the design and construction of any building for community use. Congestion charging schemes are always controversial because of fears that they disrupt lifelong habits and harm business. Derelict site re-use shows an initiative to make use of a derelict area of land in public ownership.
