Lighting, daylighting and controls

As a proportion of overall energy use lighting can figure surprisingly large, being responsible for up to 30 to 40 per cent of an electricity bill in sites that have not already embraced energy-efficient lighting. Worldwide, lighting accounts for over 19 per cent of total electricity consumption.
