Unless you are a meteorologist, you should be wondering by now how to forecast the future of your own dynamic system-be it technology, manufacturing, media, logistics, retail, professional services, hospitality, banking, social services, government, or some other sector. (I assume that anyone who thinks predicting meets all their needs has already quit reading this book.) The previous chapter explained the classic forecasting model, but you will need to tailor it to the particular climate of your industry.
