A systematic review and meta-analysis of the Campylobacter spp. prevalence and concentration in household pets and petting zoo animals for use in exposure assessments

Aims to quantify, through a systematic review and meta-analysis, the prevalence and concentration of Campylobacter carriage in household pets and petting zoo animals. Addresses specifically the questions of how often and how heavily the feces, urine, hair coat or mouths of household pets and farm animals, with which the general public may come in contact, are contaminated with Campylobacter.
