Zusammenfassung:Stipa lemmonii (Vasey) Scribner is sometimes treated as comprising three varieties: var. jemmonii, var. jonesii, and var. pubescens. Morphological and distributional data obtained from over 300 specimens representing the geographic range of the species do not support recognition of these infraspecific taxa. The known range of the species is extended to include Nevada and Utah.
