Zusammenfassung:	Six readily distinguishable blood cells of Chelonia mydas are described and characterized. Differential counts of white blood cells show age dependent differences. There are no apparent sex-related differences in cell types among sub-adult and adult green sea turtles. Red and white cell counts do not demonstrate an age or size related regression for turtles from 6 mo old to adults. The hemoglobin level and packed cell volume of the green sea turtle apparently increase with age.
