The Reflection Spectra of the New Organic Conductor (BEDT-TTF)4Hg3Cl8

Zusammenfassung:Polarised reflectivity spectra at room temperature in the region 200 to 25000 cm−1 are investigated for quasi‐two‐dimensional conductor (ET)4Hg3Cl8 single crystals. The optical properties of this compound are almost isotropic in the plane parallel to conducting layers. In the reflection spectra, the electronic band with metal‐like edge and the electron‐vibrational bands are observed. The spectra are satisfactorily described by the phase phonon model including electron damping and the dependence of molecular vibrational frequencies on the molecular charge. [Russian Text Ignored].
