Zusammenfassung:	A method is described for measurement of the antimicrobial agent trimethoprim in biologic fluids by reverse phase LC. Preliminary isolation uses a simple rapid sorbent extraction. The assay is linear from 0.2-100 ug/mL (r = 0.99), sensitive (0.05 ug/mL), reproducible (p less than 0.96), and relatively free of interferences from metabolites and commonly administered drugs. Only atenolol, procainamide, and oxazepam interfered. The assay is suitable for therapeutic monitoring and for pharmacokinetic assays.
