Zusammenfassung:The reactions of isobutyl(isopropoxy)silyl bromides i-Bu n (i-PrO) 3− n SiBr ( n = 0–3) with H 2S in the presence of Et 3N yield the corresponding silanethiols, i-Bu n (i-PrO) 3− n SiSH. The transition energy σ → σ ★ and the IP of SiS bond, as well as the first IP of sulphur lone pairs do not change significantly as the number of electronegative i-PrO groups is varied. The geminal anomeric effects seems to be the reason for the increased reactivity of i-Bu(i-PrO) 2SiSH and i-Bu(i-PrO) 2SiH.
