Zusammenfassung: | An experimental evaluation of the power requirements for simultaneous ultrafine grinding and drying of low-rank coals in a fluid-energy mill was undertaken. Two different lignites and a subbituminous coal were used in the study. Ultrafine grinding tests were conducted with air nominally at ambient conditions and with steam at temperatures ranging from 240°F to 488°F. It was found that grinding with ambient air used about 10 KWH/Ton. Steam grinding at about 500°F mill temperature required about 260 KWH/Ton. |
