AC conductivity determination of the relative composition of sodium hydroxide solutions containing either carbonate or aluminate as the dominant impurity

Values for the temperatures coefficient of AC conductivity of caustic soda containing impurities are reported. These measurements provide a practical method for quantitatively analyzing the relative concentrations of the sodium hydroxide and impurity. They could find applications in such industrial processes as cleaning-in-place and metal surface treatment. (Original abstract-amended)
