Zusammenfassung:In order to demonstrate the presence of chromosome scaffold, the meiotic chromosomes from the spermatocytes of grasshopper, Acrida turrita were subjected to silver-staining procedures preceeded by three well-known techniques. The scaffold can be demonstrated by all the three procedures in all the stages of meiosis with variable clarity. Thus, the scaffold may be considered as a permanent structure of the chromosomes.
