A compressional study of MgSiO3, orthoenstatite up to 8.5 GPa

A single crystal of MgSiO3 orthoenstatite has been studied by single-crystal XRD in a diamond-anvil cell to determine both the equation of state and the mechanisms of compression over the P range 0-8.5 GPa.
