Zusammenfassung:A new method of friction welding was proposed with forced formation of a welded joint, and specialised systems and equipment were developed for this method. They were subsequently patented in the US, England, Japan, Canada, Italy and France. To examine friction welding of high-strength steels for the oil range, investigations were carried out on specimens of steels of strength groups D (45G), K (36G2S) and E (38KhNM), and groups E (36G2S) and L (38KhNM) in the condition after strengthening by heat treatment. Locks of 45, 40KhN and 20KhG2B steels were welded to these pipes. [Original in Russian].
