Zusammenfassung: | Abstract
Bioactivity guided fractionation of a dichloromethane extract of Morinda lucida Benth. (Rubiaceae) roots has led to the isolation often anthraquinones. Four of these were active against Cladosporium cucumerinum and Candida albicans in bioautographic (TLC) assays. In-depth investigation of activity against three human pathogenic fungi showed that alizarin-1-methyl ether displayed the highest activity. |
