Zusammenfassung:A new single-bit ΔΣ modulator based on multi-bit quantisation and a successive approximation (SA) algorithm with improved output swing due to a reduced quantisation noise power is presented. Although this structure maintains the linearity of the single-bit digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), it also removes the requirement for a high slew rate operational amplifier. Hence, the modulator dissipates less power.
