A new family of superconducting intercalation compound of MgxMNCl (M=Zr, Hf)

Zusammenfassung:We have successfully synthesized a new family of Mg-intercalated superconductor MgxMNCl(M=Zr,Hf) with x⩽1.0 using the electrochemical technique. The values of Tc ∼15K for M=Zr and ∼25K for M=Hf are almost independent of x even for heavily Mg-intercalated samples of Mg0.8ZrNCl and Mg1.0HfNCl. Moreover, these values are the same as those of LixMNCl.
