Zusammenfassung: | Software process modelling has lived its heyday for over ten years and various methods have been introduced to facilitate control over the modelling work. Notwithstanding, the engineering of these methods and especially process modelling languages (PMLs) in accordance to the use situation has received scantly attention. This can be perceived as a neglect in the field of software process modelling which could learn from the method engineering experience related to information systems development (ISD) and software engineering (SE) methods. In these fields method engineering has received considerably attention among researchers and practitioners. This paper takes an approach to focus especially on exploring the practice of PML engineering, which is a crucial part of the software process modelling (SPM) method engineering, We report lessons learned associated in the application of PML engineering in one modelling case but we do not offer any explicit method or procedure for PML engineering. |
