Zusammenfassung:The fluid catalytic cracking process is key in the more intense treatment of raw oils. At the beginning of the 1990s the new extra large pore, zeotype material MCM‐41 was developed, thus, resulting in the possibility of cracking of heavier oil fractions. The authors present the catalytic behavior of micro‐ and mesoporous solid acids in industrially relevant composite systems containing zeolite Y, MCM‐41, and active SiO2/Al2O3 matrix on cracking of vacuum gas oil.
