Simple and flexible technique for spectrally designing all-fibre filter and apodizing fibre gratings

A new technique for spectrally designing all-fibre filter and apodizing fibre gratings is presented. Longitudinally uniform average index change is induced by a small angle dithering of the writing UV beam incident on a phase mask.
