Zusammenfassung:This paper compares the relative efficiency of three approaches for the minimum-cost topology optimisation of the COST 239 European Optical Network (EON) using genetic programming. The GP was run for the central nine nodes using three approaches: relational function set, decision trees, and connected nodes. Only the best two, decision trees and connected nodes, were run for the full EON. The results are also compared with earlier genetic algorithm work on the EON.
