Zusammenfassung:This paper describes a study where students were able to view an open learner model in seven formats. They were provided with tools to edit this model directly, to attempt to persuade the system to change it, or to enter into a negotiation about the model contents. Results indicate that many students are less comfortable having direct control over the content of their learner model than in situations where the system has the final say over proposed changes.
