STUDIES ON ORGANOPHOSPHORUS COMPOUNDS REACTIONS OF 1,3,2,4-DITHIADIPHOSPHETANE-2,4-DISULFIDES AND ALKYL PHOSPHITES WITH COUMARIN DERIVATIVES

1,3,2,4-Dithiadiphosphetane-2,4-disulfides, I a and I b react with coumarin II and 4-hydroxy coumarin III to give thiocoumann compounds V and VI respectively. But I a and I b react with 3-acetyl coumarin IV to give cyclic compounds VII a and VII b respectively. IV reacts also with alkyl phosphites VIII a,b and IX a,b to give X a and X b respectively. The given structures were based upon analytical, chemical and spectroscopic results.
