Zusammenfassung:	The procedure presented here outlines a method of production of somatic embryos of sandalwood. Conversion of non-embryogenic cells to embryogenic cells was achieved in a 7-litre bioreactor. Proembryo cells were grown in a 1-litre bioreactor and were developed into mature somatic embryos. Viable plantlets were regenerated from mature embryos upon transfer of the embryos from bioreactor to solid medium.
