Zusammenfassung:Several benzimidazole derivatives have been tested in vitro for their ability to inhibit human placental aromatase activity. The results show that five out of the six compounds tested are more active in the inhibition of aromatase activity than aminoglutethimide (AG), which we chose as the reference compound and which, as an aromatase inhibitor, is currently being used in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer.
