Estimation of the induction machine behaviour subjected to voltage sags

The voltage sags is probably one of the most important problems of the power quality that affects the performance of ac induction motors. Hence, this paper focuses on that by taking into account the different voltage sags types, considering variations in the phase angle and variations of the mechanical load of the motor. The behaviour of the induction motor under such conditions is analyzed. The simulations were carried out by means of a simplified induction motor model on Matlab.
